Start with value and context
Price is not simply cost plus margin. It sits inside the buyer’s alternatives, urgency, expected value, perceived risk and willingness to pay.
Protect unit economics
Know delivery cost, gross margin, support burden, payment fees, acquisition cost assumptions and capacity before discounting.
Package before negotiating
Clear scope and packaging reduce custom work. If every buyer receives a different package, it becomes difficult to learn what actually converts.
Measure price quality
Track conversion by source, average selling price, discount rate, gross margin, refund rate, time-to-close and delivery effort.
Turn the framework into action.
Use a MetricBuilds digital toolkit or complete the Strategy Assessment if the decision requires an outside analysis.
